BOMBAY SAPPHIRE - STIR CREATIVITY - INTERACTIVE

BOMBAY SAPPHIRE <> STIR CREATIVITY <>
INTERACTIVE INSTALLATION <>
An interactive experience for Bombay Sapphire at Carriageworks in Sydney. I collaborated with longtime friends @iankanik and @beamhacker to create a touch sensitive bar that triggered LED lighting and interactive projections - the latter of which I was responsible for. I built the projections in @notchvfx a real-time motion graphics engine that allowed a fully interactive experience for the audience. I went from never having used the program to completing this project in about a 2 month period, which says a lot for the ease of use - especially coming from a Cinema 4d background. It took some optimisation to get the scene to run smoothly, but overall I think Notch is an exciting new tool for motion design and interactive installations, and a great step away from never ending renders.

The visuals were inspired by natural growth and square cut sapphires that also influenced the shapes and furniture in the space, including the LED hypercubes which were triggered when someone walked underneath them. Big thanks to @thinkingloudau and @bombaysapphire for allowing us to really go to town on this!
